I was flipping through the latest issue of BUILD magazine and noticed this.  I searched around for a little bit trying to figure out where the other $50,000 went.

4. Privacy? You  have no privacy. What’s privacy?
5. We may charge you for material or tools that were stolen on the property regardless of whether or not you carried the loan. We may charge you if it was stolen from your neighbor’s jobsite…even if we weren’t building on it…because it may affect our insurance rate.
6. You are compelled to close on this home regardless of whether or not you really purchased it – after all, the signee said they were you…why would they lie?
7. We may charge you more for your home in order to hedge our bets against the deadbeats who probably won’t close but somehow managed to get a loan anyway.
8. We may charge you a a nominal $39.00 monthly convenience fee for having a $0.00 balance on your change order reconciliation statement.
9. We may, at our discretion, install this lovely vintage linoleum in lieu of the tile you had ordered in the event that it is no longer available in the SpiffyPoints Bonus Book.
